Guild Cabinetry offers designer-exclusive, premium American-made cabinetry. With a curated palette of door styles and finishes, it removes traditional barriers between design and production, delivering distinct style, direct access, and elevated design, turning cabinetry into a seamless, elegant, and profitable part of every project.
Our Founder
Mary Caroline Mumpower is an interior designer guided by a deep care for the work she creates, with a focus on blending her expertise with the way her clients truly live.
She began her career in New York City, studying at the New York School of Interior Design before working under the legendary Bunny Williams and later serving as a senior designer with Richard Keith Langham. These formative experiences established a standard for thoughtful, well-executed design that continues to define her work.
In 2006, she returned to Southwest Virginia to establish MCM Interior Design in downtown Bristol, bringing a refined, design-forward perspective to the region. Her work is known for balancing beauty with livability, creating spaces that feel elevated and intentional.
As her career evolved, so did her perspective on the designer’s role in the cabinetry process. This insight led her to found Guild Cabinetry in 2026, a complementary venture that expands the designer’s role while opening the door to creative ownership and a previously limited revenue stream.
Outside of her work, Mary Caroline is a devoted wife to her ever-supportive husband and a proud mother to her twin boys. She engages in her community through philanthropy and service, continually inspired by travel, everyday life, and her love of sports. Equal parts thoughtful and driven, she brings creativity, clarity, and a natural sense of momentum to everything she does.
